Job Description

Requirements

  • A Bachelor's degree in Accounting and/or Finance. A CPA or MBA is preferred.
  • Appropriate understanding and working knowledge of accounting principles and internal controls, such as Generally Accepted Accounting Principles, and knows how to apply them.
  • Must have strong Excel skills.
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
  • Ability to multi-task and work in a challenging, growing, and fast paced environment.
  • Strong work ethic with a positive attitude.
  • Independent worker and analytical thinker with an ability to conduct research, data analysis, and resolve problems.
  • Financial modeling expertise.

Responsibilities

  • Provide financial and analytical support for a variety of departments.
  • Responsible for day-to-day general ledger accounting and reconciliation for assigned areas.
  • Assist with monthly balance sheets and income statements.
  • Create monthly expense reports and P&Ls.
  • Investigate and report to the Controller any inconsistencies or improprieties.
  • Analyze data to ensure that proper accounting procedures have been followed.
  • Prepare financial reports, proformas, charts, and tables for various areas within various departments.
  • Responsible for performing special projects to improve efficiency and performance as assigned by Management.
  • Maintain and develop monthly financial models and templates to be distributed for use by all of Finance.
  • Provide timely, relevant, and accurate reporting and analysis of results to be compared against historical, budget, and forecasted financials for variance analysis.
  • Identify non-value add processes within various departments and seek solutions.
