Financial Analyst (Contract) in Fort Worth, Texas at Vaco

Vaco Resources has partnered with a North Ft. Worth (100% onsite) client for an Interim Financial Analyst. This role starts 3/8/21 with an estimated duration of three months.

Responsibilities:

From the Core-mark Website for the Analyst - the senior Analyst would be similar with a few more years of experience:

• Assist with budget and forecasts, including consolidation
• Prepare key monthly, quarterly and annual financial reporting, variance and trend analyses
• Review financial performance reports, identify and investigate variances
• Prepare and review customer profitability analyses for new and existing customers
• Extract financial data from financial applications, as well as unstructured data sources, and assist with developing KPI dashboards
• Perform non-routine ad-hoc analyses

Skills & Experiences:

• 1-3 years of relevant accounting and/or financial analysis experience
• Analytical thinker / visual presenter
• Excellent attention to detail, highly organized, and sense of urgency to meet deadlines
• Effective time management skills and demonstrated proficiency in handling multiple projects and deadlines
• Strong written and verbal communication skills
• Ability to work cross functionally across multiple departments, understand each departments language and translate your understanding into a financial impact
• Advanced proficiency in Excel; modeling and VBA a plus
• Ability to adapt quickly and work on new tasks independently
• Experience with SAP, EPM/BPC and Cognos a plus
