As a Financial Analyst, you will conduct analysis of divisional and department performance as well as prepare any special financial studies that may be needed. You may also be responsible for the development and implementation of new analysis techniques.

Your daily duties and responsibilities in this role will generally include:

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES


  • Prepare annual budgets, forecasts, financial plans, and business forecasts with input from top management & operations
  • Prepare monthly and quarterly forecasts and variance analysis and perform monthly review of cost centers and analyze expense trends to identify threats and opportunities and review with business unit leader on a monthly basis
  • Prepare dashboards for business area reviews
  • Identify opportunities to reduce cost and increase profitability across the business units. Initiate projects to achieve improvements in these areas
  • Contribute to financial closing process by loading data into the financial reporting system, including recording certain journal entries and generating reporting on financial results
  • Assist in the creation of models as tools for corporate decision making as well as a benchmark for future performance and business opportunities, license/brand analysis etc.
  • Provide financial guidance and analysis to business units.
  • Perform ad hoc financial analysis as required
  • Work closely with business unit leaders and attend business unit staff meetings, as requested
  • Other duties may be assigned as business needs arise.
