Role and Responsibilities:

A well-known and growing government contractor is seeking a Financial Analyst to join their accounting and finance team in Virginia Beach! This exciting Financial Analyst position is focused on performing analysis on key financial information, general accounting processes, and efficiency creation. Duties and Responsibilities Include:

  • Perform extensive financial analysis on key business drivers and information
  • Research, analyze, and evaluate business trends and provide recommendations to management
  • Evaluate current business processes and determine / create efficiencies where applicable
  • Work closely with accounting to analyze accounts and perform variance analysis
  • Assist the organization with their budgeting and forecasting process
  • Create and build financial models based on analysis and trends both on an organizational and industry-wide level

Qualifications and Education Requirements:

  • Bachelor's Degree in Finance or Accounting. Master's preferred
  • 5+ years in accounting / finance
  • Strong understanding working within Deltek Costpoint
  • Strong work ethic, goal-focused and deadline driven
  • Desire and ability to multi-task and work in a fast-paced environment
  • Ability and desire to work within a team environment
