Financial & Operational Controller in Garfield, NJ at Vaco

Our client, major importer and distributor of wholesale good, is adding an Operational Controller to their team.

The ideal candidate will Operational and GAAP reporting and Financial Planning duties including:

• Financial Reporting & Budgeting
• GL responsibility - AP, AR, Billing, Collections, and Payroll - lead a staff of 10 in these areas.
• Inventory Management
• Coordinate Audits, Tax and Treasury functions with parent company
• Implement & upgrade GL and Inventory Systems
• Forecasting/Budgeting
• Make Business Recommendations

The requirements for this position are:

• Must have Distribution experience, preferably wholesale import & distribution
• Bachelor's Degree in Accounting of Finance, CPA a Plus
• 15+ years of overall experience, 5+ in a supervisory/leadership role
• Someone who has initiative and is a self-starter and can thrive in a fast paced environment
• Ability to work some overtime, about 45-50 hours per week
• Someone whom has performed a systems implementation or upgrade
• Strong software skills such as advanced excel modeling and Netsuite and NetSuite OneWorld ERP experience a big plus
