Financial Reporting Manager in Alpharetta, GA at Vaco

Job Description

Vaco is recruiting actively for a Financial Reporting Manager to join one of our clients' teams just North of Atlanta. Top candidates will have 5-7 years of experience either from a Big 4 or large regional public accounting firm as a Senior or Manager level employee, or a mix of public accounting and industry experience handling financial reporting needs in a private equity and acquisitive environment.

The Financial Reporting Manager will be responsible for supporting monthly and quarterly financial reporting requirements, technical accounting research and analysis, purchase accounting, GAAP policies for M&A, and assisting with ad-hoc financial projects. This position will be responsible for working with cross-functional accounting teams to ensure accurate and timely financial reporting.

Responsibilities

• Ensures all required monthly and quarterly financials are reported timely and accurately.
• Assists global purchase accounting and the analysis and implementation of US GAAP policies for mergers and acquisitions.
• Assists with coordination of the annual external audit.
• Assists with Ad-hoc financial analyses as assigned.
• Leads technical accounting research and implementation of new accounting standards and global accounting policies.
• Responds to all inquiries in a timely manner.

Skills And Abilities

• Previous experience working with software/technology companies
• Extensive US GAAP knowledge in ASC 606 revenue recognition and capitalized software
• Experience with Purchase Accounting and Purchase Price Allocations
• Strong interpersonal skills, ability to build relations at all levels
• Attention to detail
