Job Description

Vaco is seeking a FP&A Analyst for a great marketing and advertising firm in the Alpharetta area. This role is designed to support the Director of FP&A by providing accurate data reporting, interpreting complex datasets, and delivering information to internal clients to drive informed business decisions. The ideal candidate will possess strong analytical and reporting skills, and the ability to summarize and communicate information clearly and effectively. This individual will provide financial consulting and strategic support to senior management, including preparing board presentations, financial presentations, and other special projects. The FP&A Analyst must be able to work collaboratively in a fast-paced environment with complex and sensitive information under critical timeframes. This is a Direct Hire role paying $80-$90k + bonus.

Responsibilities

  • Analyze and summarize key drivers of financial performance on a department and consolidated level to identify and mitigate risks while capitalizing on opportunities
  • Maintain monthly rolling forecast and conduct variance analysis versus plan and prior year
  • Prepare monthly and quarterly reporting packages to senior leaders and Board of Directors
  • Assist in creating the annual Budget
  • Automate reporting and analysis packages
  • Review models and monitor revenue and cost drivers to maintain profitability and drive process efficiencies
  • Evaluate and interpret large data sets to draw conclusions on viability and impact
  • Build cross-functional relationships with business unit leaders to maintain alignment and achievement of business goals and objectives
  • Work with various teams across the organization to measure ROI
  • Perform ad-hoc analyses and other duties as needed with minimal oversight in a timely manner

Requirements

  • Proficient in financial reporting, analytics, and modeling techniques
  • Strong ability to articulate and present ideas in both written and oral presentations
  • Highly organized with analytical mindset and highest standards of accuracy and precision
  • Collaborative, team-player with strong interpersonal skills and ability to work productively with people across all functions of the organization
  • Ability to adapt to continually changing business and work environment while effectively managing multiple priorities
  • Commitment to improving and learning new skills
  • 5+ years of experience in FP&A, Consulting, or similar role
  • Bachelor's degree, preference for Finance, Economics, Statistics, Math, Accounting or related
  • Extensive knowledge and hands-on application of Intacct, SAP, BW, BPC, Hyperion, TM1, Alteryx, MicroStrategy, Tableau, advanced Excel
