Job Description

The FP&A Manager will have ownership of budgeting and reporting of various P&L line items, providing company stakeholders with an understanding of the key drivers in variances. The FP&A Manager will be the SME on COGS. Additionally, the Manager will be highly visible in playing a large role in financial models, financial statements, This role requires strong intellect and financial modeling skillsets, as well as excellent people skills as it involves regular interfacing of internal deparntments.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Supervise and guide day-to-day work of analysts, ensuring all deadlines are achieved
  • Invest time in mentoring team to impart business & financial knowledge
  • Manage the budgeting and forecasting of various P&L line items, in addition to developing an in-depth understanding of all variables that impact each
  • Perform detailed variance analysis to show drivers in each accounting period
  • Oversee end-to-end pricing updates each period and on ad-hoc basis
  • Interface regularly with Accounting counterpart(s) to align on development of accruals
  • Act as Finance representative to entire Sourcing organization, proactively meeting all their analytical needs and providing insightful analysis on a regular basis
  • Provide actionable insights and strong reporting commentary, including metrics reporting
  • Ad-hoc corporate project modeling, analysis and reporting

Key Requirements:

  • 7-10 years of relevant FP&A ideally in manufacturing/distribution environment
  • MUST have direct management experience of at least 3-5 employees (directly leading and mentoring)
  • Strong business acumen & grasp of key financial concepts such as NPV, WACC, FCF, DOH, etc.
  • Strong understanding of accounting principles such as flow of financial statements and between them, developing accruals and debits/credits
  • Advanced Excel required, knowledge of VBA a plus
  • Knowledge of SAP or another major ERP system
  • Experience with a Business Intelligence (BI) tool, preferably Business Objects is a plus
  • BSc/BA in Accounting, Finance and/or Business Administration required
  • MBA, MS Finance, or similar preferred
