Job Description

Our client is looking to add an General Ledger Accountant to the team.

In this role the ideal candidate will be responsible for but are not limited to:

  • Ensure that all financial records are maintained in accordance with GAAP
  • Full General Ledger responsibility for multiple entities. Manage the accounts payable and accounts receivable personnel and functions of the department
  • Insure all vendors are paid within company policy
  • Ensure accuracy of all information entered into the accounting system
  • Respond to inquiries made by vendors/tenants and ensure resolution of any problems
  • Train and supervise associates within the accounts payable and accounts receivable departments and complete timely performance reviews of all staff
  • Complete credit application forms, establish new cash, security deposit and investment accounts

Requirements for the position include:

  • Bachelors in accounting
  • Experience managing a team of at least two
  • Strong administrative skills, PC proficiency, with strong Excel skills
  • Advanced computer skills on MS Excel and accounting software. Yardi Voyager and Quickbooks software a plus
  • Property management and/or residential construction experience a plus
