Vaco has a client looking for a General Manager of North American Operations. Based in West Memphis - Our client has been designing and manufacturing rotary valves, diverter valves and other related components for the bulk solids handling industry for more than 40 years. As an independent company with no involvement in system design, our sole activity is the development, manufacture and sale of these components.

As the General Manager of North American Operations, you will be responsible to grow/extend a stable, trustworthy organization that ensures a profitable, durable and sustainable presence, within the scope of the vision, mission and strategy of the company. Expansion to South America is envisioned to maximize turnover and profit through all relevant distribution channels. You will build and maintain a profitable, efficient and effective supporting production department. You will ensure that the company is positioned as a professional, high quality and unique supplier of bulk solids components with the highest levels of customer service and satisfaction. You will be tasked with meeting agreed timescales and budgets, through dynamic and effective leadership. Meet all legal, Governmental and other requirements and regulations.

Requirements Qualifications and Experience
  • Bachelor's degree
  • Minimum 5 years at general management level
  • A demonstrable, proven track record in sales, marketing & production processes
  • Excellent management skills in process & people management

Responsibilities Your responsibilities shall include, but are not limited to:
  • Develop and document solid market knowledge
  • Deliver solid year and long-term budgets in time
  • Realize the accepted targets within the borders of the budget
  • Ensure stable, knowledgeable sales and marketing resources
  • Ensure all sales distribution channels are fully exploited to benefit
  • Develop and implement sales & marketing strategies, based on solid and documented market knowledge, that ensure key revenue, cost and profitability targets are met, with a level playing field for selling partners
  • Motivate and coach the commercial team to exceed targets
  • Develop and maintain a team that secures effective production methods and operational processes in line with the company's aim to be a high-quality supplier of bulks solids components
