Job Description

What you'll do:

  • Install, configure and monitor all aspects of Microsoft Dynamics in production and non-production environments
  • Set up as needed the configurations and provide day-to-day technical Dynamics GP application support for clients including the following modules: Financial, Distribution, Manufacturing, Fixed Assets, HR, Payroll, Project Accounting, Field Services (RMA) and add-ons such as: Greenshades, Batchmaster, Rockton Auditor, Willoware Tools, Binary Stream, Integrity Data
  • Maintain and enforce security policies and procedures aligned with best practices for segregation of duties.
  • Document procedures and configurations that are clear, concise, and easy to understand
  • Facilitate technical meetings and initiate conversations and interactions to ensure all team members have a good understanding of why, what, who, when, and how.
  • Ensure quality of solutions developed by the team by confirming work adheres to the team's definition of done, maintaining focus on testing and understanding of requirements and leading post-mortem bug reviews.
  • Enforce code standards and development and security best practices by performing structured code reviews and coaching other developers to do the same.
  • Provide non-technical leadership by inspiring others, taking initiative, modeling professional behavior and displaying sense of ownership and accountability.
  • Ensure project deliverables are met on time, within budget and with quality.
  • See the software development life cycle through all stages including sunsetting.
  • Support leadership and organizational goals by communicating and collaborating with management, IT peer teams and other team leads.

What you have:

  • 5+ years' experience in the support and maintenance of Dynamics GP solutions
  • Knowledge of GAAP
  • Knowledge of Microsoft SQL databases and relationships
  • Experience in the manufacturing and/or distribution industry
  • Bachelor's degree and/or relevant industry training/certification
  • Excellent customer service and communication skills
  • Strong organizational skills with emphasis on detail and follow-up
  • Ability to triage support issues and escalate to the necessary parties
  • Availability to provide on-call and off-hours support as needed
  • Collaborate effectively as part of the overall Dynamics/MIS team

Major plus if you have:

  • Dynamics GP consulting experience
  • Dynamics GP solutions
  • Dynamics GP payroll and HR modules
  • Integration tools such as Scribe, E-connect, Integration , SSIS
  • Reporting tools such as SSRS, Crystal, GP Report Writer, Forms Printer
  • Dynamics GP customization via Modifier and/or VBA
  • Version upgrades of Dynamics GP
  • Helpdesk/knowledge base solutions such as ITSM
