Job Description

looking for a Hadoop Developer who will focus on Big Data development within an existing development team supporting Data and Analytics Platform Information Management and Solution Delivery. The role requires experience working with Hadoop ecosystems and related big data technologies, implementing, troubleshooting and optimizing distributed solutions based on modern big data technologies like Hive, Hadoop, Impala, etc. The developer will be responsible for the ingestion, maintenance, improvement, cleaning, and manipulation of data in operational and analytics databases including troubleshooting of existent issues.

Required Skills:
  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or equivalent.
  • Experience using Hadoop technologies (HDFS, Hive, Impala, Map Reduce, Pig, Yarn )
  • Exposure working with HBase.
  • Excellent analytical capabilities - Strong interest in algorithms
  • Database, SQL, ETL, and data analysis skills are a must
Desired Skills:
  • Strong object-oriented programming and design experience.
  • Strong Hadoop development experience
  • Masters degree in Computer Science or equivalent.
  • Experience with automated testing methodologies and frameworks, including JUnit, is a plus
  • Exposure to Kafka, Storm, Flume.
  • High energy versatile resource with both development skills and business acumen to operate at a fast and accurate speed.
  • A champion for innovative, agile development practices and experimenting with the latest technology and trends to produce amazing solutions
  • A self-starter and team player, capable of working with a team of Architects, Developers, Business/Data Analysts, QA and client stakeholders.
  • Cross-functional and ability to tackle any environment, willing to jump into other development roles as needed.
