Job Description

Duties & Responsibilities:

  • Facilitate stakeholder meetings, using advanced skills to effectively gather requirements that results in clear documentation of Business, User, Functional, and Non-Functional Requirements.
  • Produce professional quality work products such as process flows, use cases, screen mockups, business requirements and functional specifications that do not require multiple corrections.
  • Guide business requirements alignment in all phases of the Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC).
  • Works with the project team (both technical and business) to ensure requirements are accurate, clear and understood by those participating in the project.
  • Lead work effort and instruct others in the process of eliciting business requirements, including detailed business process and the implications.
  • Manage projects as needed. This may involve defining scope, creating and managing the project plan, managing issues, providing project communications and managing sponsor expectations.
  • Meets with business and technical teams to discuss functional design concepts and alternatives necessary to meet requirements.
  • Demonstrates the ability to learn new techniques and adapts to using the tools aligned with the organization such as LEAN tools.
  • Helps define acceptance test objectives and assists in system and integration testing.
  • Assists in evaluating software change requests, which may involve conducting root cause analysis to confirm business need for changes and alternatives.
  • Works with end-users during User Acceptance Testing (UAT).
  • Provides timely, comprehensive verbal and written status reports.
  • Partners with IT and Business teams to capture, track, and resolve problems.
  • Conducts application demonstrations and training as required.
  • Mentors peers and junior team members.
  • Reads and abides by the company's code of conduct, ethics statements, employee handbook(s), policies

Qualifications:To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill, and/or ability required.

  • Demonstrated experience in Business Analysis.
  • Experience documenting detailed requirements, design documents, and workflows in support of sophisticated reporting capabilities.
  • Advanced collaborative skills with experience bringing differing ideas together for a shared solution, often working as a role model through actions and demeanor.
  • Experience with contemporary Software Development Lifecycle (SDLC) methodologies such as Agile/Scrum.
  • 6+ years of BA experience.
  • Driven by a fast-paced, energetic, results-oriented environment.
  • Ability to verify integrity of all application and report output changes like Configuration Management, Data changes, cross system Impact Analysis and Data Management.
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills to communicate with all levels of management and team members.
  • Ability to develop recommendations, strategies, and tactics based on analyses.
  • Able to lead small teams and work efforts.
  • Working knowledge of Healthcare and Medical group business areas (clinical, operations, care management, capitation) is a plus.
  • Excel power user with advanced spreadsheet management/modeling skills and the ability to easily manipulate large volumes of data, build and use advanced macros/pivot tables, etc.
