Job Description

Vaco is looking for a Help Desk consultant for a 6-9 month + project in Eden Prairie, MN.

Responsibilities:

  • Provide telephone and onsite support for employees experiencing business impacting problems.
  • Support network communications including LAN/WAN and/or VPN issues.
  • Apply specialized knowledge to solve complex business problems received via the IT Operations helpdesk, adhere to established guidelines or recommend appropriate alternatives.
  • Perform system management on employee computers, workstations, and mobile devices including configuration, resource monitoring and reporting. Apply some specialized knowledge of company or industry best practices in order to solve a variety of common business problems.

Experience:

  • Bachelor's Degree in related technical field preferred
  • 4+ years of experience in technical operations or Helpdesk/IT Support
  • Thorough organizational skills with attentiveness to quality and detail

Requirements

Technical

  • Supporting Windows 7 and Windows 10 in an enterprise environment
  • Supporting Office 365 in an enterprise environment
  • Proficiency supporting Windows Server 2012 R2/2016 and system administration tools
  • Hardware component replacement and troubleshooting skills
  • Knowledge of iOS and Android OS and mobile application management
  • Knowledge of malware removal using security software or manual methods
  • Understanding of Apple OSX desktop operating systems
  • Understanding of Microsoft Group Policy and how it is utilized
  • General understanding of virtual server software and how it is utilized
  • Proficiency with various network operating systems, protocols, and network management

Professional

  • Help Desk Level 1 & 2 phone and email support
  • New user and workstation setup, user management
  • Managing support tickets and issue resolution within a system
  • Takes responsibility for assigned work and sees it to completion
