Help Desk Support Specialist

Vaco Technology is assisting our clients located on the north side of Indianapolis in their search for a full-time Help Desk Analyst. This person will assisting troubleshooting and resolving technical issues coming into the help desk. The shift will be 8.30a-6p M-F with occasional after hours and weekend support on a rotating basis. Current A+ Certification is required.


  • Answer & record phone calls, email messages, and voicemail messages presented to the Help Desk.
  • Record all necessary information in call tracking tool for each problem.
  • Resolve every problem possible by providing training or technical assistance to caller utilizing documentation, online knowledge bases, on-site training (when possible), or other technical support channels.
  • Invoke escalation procedures to appropriate support contact in a timely manner.
  • Serve as liaison between end user and other IT personnel.
  • Assist location to resolve point-of-sale issues.
  • Repair and configure peripheral devices as needed.
  • Handle equipment returns and repairs


  • Minimum two years of corporate experience troubleshooting both software and hardware related issues (desktops, peripherals, etc.)
  • Experience supporting Windows 7, 10 or XP
  • Good communication skills and customer service skills
  • Bachelor's Degree Preferred...Minimum Associates degree required
  • A+ certification is required
