Job Description

Vaco Technology is assisting one of our clients, on the West side of Indianapolis, in their search for a Help Desk Technician, on a contract-to-hire basis. The main purpose of this position is to support our client's existing users concerning hardware, software and basic permissions issues.


  • Provide both phone and desk side support for Windows 7/10 and Office 2013/2016
  • Provide both phone and desk side support for laptops, desktops and printers
  • Configure and deploy new hardware
  • Monitor daily backups
  • Basic administration of Active Directory - password resets, new user creation and modifying user access


  • 3-5 years of experience in a help desk or desktop support capacity
  • 1-2 years of experience with Active Directory
  • Experience configuring and deploying new hardware, including re-imaging machines
  • Experience supporting Windows 7/10
  • Experience supporting Microsoft Office 2013/2016
  • High attention to detail
  • Ability to work independently


  • This is a 3-month contract-to-hire opportunity with a starting salary between $40-$50K.
