Job Description

We are working with a local company, that is looking for a HR Business Partner. The HR Business Partner is integrated into the businesses processes and aligns their activities with driving business results. Analyzes data to identify trends in field performance, evaluates the root cause, and works with field senior leadership to improve performance. This position focuses on supporting and improving the operational, financial, and HR performance of the field, including retention, engagement, and all the other aspects of the talent life cycle. The HRBP is a resource to support and challenge the field leaders to improve overall performance and drive sustainable growth.

Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Establish credibility and trust to become a key member of the RVP's Store/Pharmacy leadership team
  • Maintain the Regional HR Plan and conduct a quarterly review with the RVP and District Managers
  • Investigate employee relations issues, such as working conditions, policy violations, disciplinary actions, etc.
  • Recruit field staff by establishing a recruiting, testing, and interviewing program
  • Conduct and analyze exit interviews and recommend changes to address turnover trends
  • Provide counsel to the District Managers and Regional Vice Presidents on candidate selection and best hiring and retention practices
  • Provide HR related coaching and consultation in all people areas of the business
  • Provide training/support and guidance to the field team in the areas of organizational/performance management and team member development
  • Facilitate training on various topics including HR systems, processes and people standards at district and regional level for management and hourly associates as new programs/procedure are implemented
  • Conduct and track regional training seminars for Store Managers and District Managers and provide recommendations for revised training material as needed
  • Lead the successful implementation of system HR initiatives in respective market
  • Conduct HR audits and SWATS
  • Handles data entry on new hires, terminations, leaves, promotions, demotions, transfer and personal data changes

Knowledge and Skills:

  • 5 to 7 years of experience within Human Resources, preferably in a multi-unit/state retail environment or equivalent retail management experience as a Store or District Manager
  • General knowledge of the principles and practices of HR administration
  • Must be team focused and thrive in a fast-paced environment
  • Open to change and is motivated to make a difference to the business
  • Role model for integrity, objectivity and fairness
  • Must have a sound working knowledge of statistical concepts, methods, and data collection procedures to arrive at valid conclusions, recommendations, and plans of action.
  • Ability to present facts and recommendations effectively in oral and written form
  • Proficient in Excel, Word and PowerPoint

Education:

  • Bachelor's degree in Human Resources Management, Business, or closely related field
  • SHRM Certified Professional (PHR) or Senior Professional (SPHR), preferred
