Job Description

SUMMARY: Creates content and messaging for the HR department to facilitate strong, effective and meaningful overall communication to over 5,000 employees, in support of Human Resources objectives and priorities. Position responsible for creating employee communications on internal company human resources matters and coordinating employee outreach efforts. The position brings consistency and standardization of messages and cadence.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Implement and manage a Human Resources communication plan, including a communications calendar and drafting of key employee communication pieces to reach over 5,000 employees.
  • Coordinate with subject matter experts including attorneys, consultants, and insurance representatives as needed to develop employee communication materials regarding employee benefits.
  • Develop and execute recruiting messages and develop related collateral material; communicate these messages through several media, including brochures, websites, and candidate outreach materials.
  • Create, produce and distribute via various delivery methods all required human resources employee communications, including SPDs, benefit annual reports, etc.
  • Negotiate and manage production methods, prices, and contracts with vendors for printed materials.
  • Coordinate annual employee anniversary awards including resolving vendor service issues, and pricing negotiations.
  • Develop, update, and manage content and structure of human resources intranet site and other media communication tools.
  • Write and publish external position advertisements via selected communication outlets.
  • Screen applicants and forward qualified candidates to hiring managers.
  • Manage vendor relationships with outside recruiters and job posting websites.
  • Conduct employee meetings for acquisitions and manage the onboarding process for acquisition employees.
  • Develop presentations for various human resources staff members that are standardized and consistent in the delivery of human resources messages.
  • Assists field staff with recruitment efforts as requested.

EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE: Bachelor's degree preferably in Communications, Marketing or Business Administration from a four-year college or university and a minimum of three years Human Resources experience.

OTHER SKILLS and ABILITIES:

  • Excellent knowledge of cutting edge communication procedures and methodologies to effectively transmit information to employees.
  • Working knowledge of labor laws and government reporting requirements.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills and problem resolution skills.
  • Excellent computer skills including knowledge of the Microsoft Office package and with web publishing tools.
  • Excellent spelling and grammar skills.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to organize and prioritize work.
