Area:

VACO SF is looking for a highly skilled HR Generalist to join our clients Human Resources Team! You will report to the Sr. Director of People Success and will support our clients organization. Based out of their beautiful San Francisco office with great amenities and perks!


Role:

As a VACO SFHR Generalist, you will be responsible for operational and generalist matters, including employee relations, compensation, benefits, etc. You will be the primary support for business leaders around handling day to day employee related issues, consulting on application of HR policies and managing employee relations issues including policy infractions, performance management, terminations and other workplace matters.


Responsibilities:

  • Manage employee relations and respond to all questions regarding benefits, systems, performance, company programs and policies

  • Support the HR team as the "go to" person for general questions about HR processes, employment laws

  • Monitor and ensure compliance with federal, state, and local legal requirements by staying on top of existing and new legislation and enforcing adherence to requirements; advising management on needed actions

  • Manage and support leaves of absences and ensure compliance with current regulations

  • Conduct voluntary and involuntary exit interviews

  • Ad hoc projects depending on the needs of the Human Resources team


Requirements:

  • Minimum of 3-5 years in a HR Generalist role is preferred with experience in all areas within HR

  • Good understanding of CA labor laws

  • Prior experience with working in fast-paced startup environment is preferred or in a technology or high growth organization

  • Solid project management, organizational, and analytical skills

  • Demonstrable capacity for critical thinking, analysis, and attention to detail

  • Strong work ethic in both an individual and collaborative environment

  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced workplace, ability to manage multiple tasks efficiently and determine priorities without supervision

  • Have excellent analytical, organizational and project management skills
