Job Description

Job Purpose: The Benefits Administrator/Generalist HR is responsible for coordinating implementation of services, policies and programs for personnel throughout CCS Fundraising (CCS). Works closely with the Managing Director, HR on day-to-day management of HR and company operations. Works independently and displays a high level of discretion in managing human resource initiatives.

Essential Job Duties/Functions
o Take an active role in understanding the business and employee issues company wide.
o Ensure that HR policies and processes are consistently administered both in the department and companywide.
o Oversight of UK and Ireland HR and benefit functions.
o Handle Immigration process as needed.
o Responsible for oversight of all leaves of absence.
o Stay abreast of varying state and federal leave laws.
o Assist the Managing Director, HR in coaching and conflict resolution to manager and employees.
o Work with other members of the HR team to make recommendations for improvements.
o Facilitate employee relations issues as needed.
o Actively participate in policy and procedure development. Responsible for leading changes/updates to Employee Handbook, individual state addendums, FMLA and similar leave policies.
o Perform a wide variety of tasks with the ability to change focus quickly as demands change.
o Stay current on Human Resources laws, legislation, and trends.
o Assist the Managing Director, HR in conducting investigations in employee situations, including but not limited to harassment, discrimination, and violations of company policies.
o Manage the online NAVEX compliance training program including development of policy, roll out courses, etc.
o Use tact when expressing ideas or opinions.
o Assess situations and make optimal and speedy decisions.
o Display honest, trustworthy and ethical behavior when dealing with internal and external customers.
o Display enthusiasm and promote a friendly group working environment.
o Assist other HR areas as needed.
o Performs project work and other duties as assigned.

Skills/Qualifications:
o Knowledge of local, state, and federal employment law and regulations.
o Demonstrates ability to motivate, collaborate, and lead.
o Highly organized with a record of prioritizing multiple projects and meeting deadlines in a demanding and diverse work environment.
o Proficient in MS Office Suite and ADP.
o Must handle confidential matters with appropriate discretion.
o Excellent written and verbal communication skills
o Candidate will have strong interpersonal skills and create a collaborative environment.
o Capable of handling heavy email traffic.
o Must provide friendly, courteous, and prompt responses.
o Able to work cooperatively with other team members.

Education and/or Experience:
o Bachelor's degree in Human Resources or related business degree or equivalent combination of education, experience and training.
o 3-5 years progressive Human Resources/Personnel experience required.
