The Human Resources & Payroll Coordinator is responsible for providing administrative support to the human resource function, and for the implementation and management of all human resource & payroll processes.

  • Implements, administers and monitors human resource functions in a manner that is consistent with the mission, goals, and objectives of the school, and that strives to attract and retain proficient employees
  • Performs record-keeping, file maintenance, and HRIS entry
  • Ensures that HR files, policies and practices comply with federal, state, and local laws, and that plan provisions are followed
  • Conducts procedures for recruiting, screening and selection of qualified internal and external personnel
  • Prepares all required paperwork for hiring and terminations, and participates in the onboarding and exit interview processes
  • Manages benefit programs and processes enrollments, changes and terminations
  • Participates in the selection and administration of benefit plans, and acts as a liaison between the employees and the insurance providers
  • Coordinates the performance appraisal process for all non faculty positions
  • Maintains employee relations by administering processes and activities necessary to develop and maintain positive employee morale (e.g. wellness program)
  • Performs day-to-day tasks for employees such as: answering questions about compensation, benefits and personnel policies; counseling and directing as appropriate
  • Data entry of payroll information for semi-monthly pay dates, and verifies the accuracy of pay amounts, hours worked, deductions, etc.
  • Ensures the confidentiality and security of all financial and employee files



  • Bachelor's degree in human resources or related field, and/or equivalent experience
  • 3-5 years of human resources and/or payroll experience (preference will be given to those candidates that have worked in an educational atmosphere)
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office, and innovation minded
  • Demonstrated success developing, implementing, and managing human resources and/or payroll policies and programs


  • PHR or other human resources certification
  • Experience with Paylocity payroll software
