Job Description

Our client, located near Secaucus, NJ is adding a Human Resource Compliance Manager to the team.

An ideal candidate will have strong working knowledge of federal employment laws such as the FMLA, ADA, FLSA, and NLRA, as well as knowledge of state and local laws, including pertaining to paid sick leave and paid family leave, wage and hour compliance and minimum wage.

In this role the ideal candidate will be responsible for but not limited to:

  • Develop and oversee control systems to prevent or deal with violations of legal guidelines and internal policies
  • Evaluate the efficiency of controls and improve them continuously
  • Revise procedures, reports etc. periodically to identify hidden risks or non-conformity issues
  • Draft, modify and implement company policies
  • Collaborate with corporate counsels and HR departments to monitor enforcement of standards and regulations
  • Assess the business's future ventures to identify possible compliance risks
  • Review the work of colleagues when necessary to identify compliance issues and provide advice or training
  • Keep updated of regulatory developments within or outside of the company as well as evolving best practices in compliance control
  • Prepare reports for senior management and external regulatory support as needed


Requirements for the position include:

  • Bachelors Degree
  • 3 years HR experience
  • Previous experience in a HR legal and regulatory compliance field is required
  • Proficient with Excel, Word and PowerPoint as well as knowledge of SAP a plus
