Job Description

Growing communications firm is seeking a full-time HR Specialist to join their team! Ideally, we are searching for someone to handle 70% recruitment activity, along with 30% employee relations/performance evaluation. We are looking for candidates with 5-10 years of experience in Human resources who maintain a positive mindset and strong work ethic.

  • Establishes recruiting requirements by studying organization plans and objectives; meeting with managers to discuss needsBuilds applicant sources by researching and contacting community services, colleges, employment agencies, recruiters, media, and internet sites; providing organization information, opportunities, and benefits; making presentations; maintaining rapport
  • Attracts applicants by placing job advertisements; contacting recruiters, using newsgroups and job sites
  • Determines applicant qualifications by interviewing applicants; analyzing responses; verifying references; comparing qualifications to job requirements
  • Arranges management interviews by coordinating schedules; arranges travel, lodging, and meals; escorting applicant to interviews
  • Evaluates applicants by discussing job requirements and applicant qualifications with managers; interviewing applicants on consistent set of qualifications
  • Improves organization attractiveness by recommending new policies and practices; monitoring job offers and compensation practices; emphasizing benefits and perks
Employee Relations
  • Resolving employees' issues and handling complaints to protect the general interests
  • Evaluation of the success of the implementation of new HR programs
  • Development and ensuring healthy work relationships and a supportive atmosphere at the workplace
  • Provision of advice for department managers on how to deal with employees, most of all in extraordinary situations
  • Research on laws, healthcare regulations, best practices etc.
  • Leading of negotiations between the organization and employees
  • 5-10 years of Human Resources Experience required
  • Bachelor's degree required
  • Recruitment experience required
  • Must have a positive attitude
  • Experience working with ATS Systems
