Job Description

Job Summary: The human resource assistant is responsible for the administrative support of day-to-day human resource operations. This position is a hands on role as the first point of contact to the employees to deliver timely and accurate information and answering questions regarding an employees pay, benefits, and attendance status.

Regular attendance is an essential function of this position

Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Will assist the HR Manager with HR activities to include payroll, benefits administration, onboarding, and training.
  • Will assist the HR Manager in reconciling monthly invoices.
  • Will assist the HR Manager in coordinating temp labor.
  • Will be responsible for ensuring supervisor approval and submission of compensable time from all full time and temporary labor.
  • Will be responsible for maintaining the daily manning sheet and updating as necessary.
  • Will be responsible for answering phone calls in a professional manner and transferring to the appropriate party.
  • Will coordinate with shift supervisors and managers to ensure all personnel are on the correct schedule pattern.
  • Completing and distributing reports as needed.
  • Will be responsible for ensure performance review forms are sent out to the shift supervisors in a timely manner.
  • Will assist the HR Manager in planning company events.
  • Will assist the HR Manager in ad-hoc projects.
  • Other duties as assigned.

Qualifications:

  • High School Diploma or High School Equivalency Diploma.
  • Prior experience in a Human Resources role.
  • Prior experience with payroll (ADP) and benefits administration a plus.

Technologies:

  • Microsoft Office products. (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)

Skills and Abilities:

  • Strong communication, organizational skill, and attention to detail is very necessary and required.
  • Ability to take initiative and see projects and tasks to completion.
  • Ability to multitask and while maintaining quality work.

Job Requirements

Prior experience in payroll and benefits a plus
