Job Description

Well-established organization is currently seeking a Human Resources Managerto join their busy team! Ideally, we are seeking candidates with a minimum of 5 years of hands-on human resources experience, willing to step in and assist in anything from employee relations, payroll, benefits administration, and some light recruitment. This is a full-time contract opportunity that has the potential to become a permanent role.

Responsibilities include:

  • Employment relations
  • Administer employee programs
  • Assist with recruitment and scheduling of qualified candidates for open requisitions
  • Maintain recruiting metrics
  • Union grievances
  • Payroll
  • Perform onboarding for new employee hires and termination for exiting employees
  • Communicating corporate policies, procedures, benefits and job descriptions to existing employees and potential candidates
  • Act as system administrator for employee time off requests
  • Establish and maintain confidential files and records
  • Assist with other HR projects as needed


  • 4+ years of HR experience, manufacturing experience highly preferred
  • Must have strong mix of recruitment, payroll, and other HR experience
  • Union Experience highly preferred
  • Bachelor's degree in Human Resources/Industrial Organizational Psychology/related field preferred
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Must have strong project management skills
