Our client, located in Indianapolis, is needing an HR Manager.

The Human Resources Manager is responsible for the execution of HR-related duties on a professional level. The HR Manager works closely with senior management to design, administer, coordinate, and evaluate HR practices and programs that support the corporate objectives. The position's responsibilities include the following functional areas: compensation, benefits, employee relations, contract labor relations, training, performance management, onboarding, policy implementation, recruitment/employment, employment law compliance, succession planning and management development.


  • BS/BA and five (5) years Human Resources Generalist experience
  • Minimum of three (3) years Supervisory experience preferred.
  • Visual and hearing acuity to perform job related functions
  • Must be able to occasionally lift 25 pounds
  • Must be able to operate within a professional office environment
  • Able to use standard office equipment such as computers, phones, photocopiers, fax machines and filing cabinets
  • Above average reading, writing and arithmetic skills acquired through college or training course
  • Knowledge of multiple human resource disciplines
  • Knowledge of federal and state employment and benefit laws
  • Strong interpersonal skills
  • Strong communication skills
  • Maintains a professional appearance and provides a positive company image to the public
  • PHR, SPHR, or SHRM-CP certification preferred
  • Previous experience with organized labor, including contract negotiation, grievance and arbitration.
  • Experience in similar industry
  • Experience in workforce planning/people analytics
  • Strong Microsoft Office skills, including excel
  • Ability to analyze data and provide recommendations. Detail oriented, logical, and methodological approach to problem solving
