Job Description

Well-established manufacturing company is currently seeking a Human Resources Manager to join their busy team! Ideally, we are seeking candidates with a minimum of 6 years of hands-on human resources experience and strong labor relations and union experience within manufacturing who are willing to step in and assist in anything from employee relations, grievances, staff development, and some light recruitment.

Responsibilities include:

  • Serve as a strategic business partner who will contribute to business decisions and strategy to drive profitability and value, integrating business strategies into HR priorities which include labor and positive employee relations, management development and effectiveness
  • Succession planning, talent acquisition and employee development
  • Administer employee programs
  • Assist with recruitment and scheduling of qualified candidates for open requisitions, maintain recruiting metrics
  • Union grievances
  • Provide consultation and advice to hourly bargaining unit employees/associates and management on Division organizational issues and initiatives with a focus on positive employee relations and employee engagement
  • Perform onboarding for new employee hires and termination for exiting employees
  • Communicating corporate policies, procedures, benefits and job descriptions to existing employees and potential candidates
  • Act as system administrator for employee time off requests
  • Assist with other HR projects as needed

Requirements:

  • Minimum of 6+ years of HR experience, manufacturing experience required
  • Union Experience required
  • Must have proven record of labor relations
  • Bachelor's degree in Human Resources/Industrial Organizational Psychology/related field highly preferred
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Must have strong project management skills
