Job Description

Our client is looking for an experienced and enthusiastic HR Manager who will be responsible for overall HR operational support and will be a key member of the team responsible for setting policy, employee relations, compensation, performance management, benefits administration and help cultivate the company culture. This role is based in Monroe, NC.

Job Responsibilities
* Lead functional and company-wide initiatives related to HR
* Act as primary point of contact for employee inquiries
* Manage and resolve complex employee relations issues and conduct effective, thorough and objective investigations
* Maintain HR systems, employee files, processes, and work toward improving systems through automation and simplification
* Stay current with local, state, and federal regulations concerning employment
* Help create and administer drug screening program
* Help develop performance management
* Support executives and employees in HR administration
* Assist in training and development of employees
* Other HR projects as needed
* Willingness to learn the business

Required Qualifications
* Bachelor's Degree in Human Resources or related field
* Minimum 4 years of HR generalist experience
* Understand importance of HR data and service quality
* Solid understanding of current labor laws
* Excellent communication skills
* Strong attention to detail
* Strong ability to build relationships and partner with department heads and remote managers across the organization
* Experience working in manufacturing and distribution industries preferred
