Job Description

We are seeking both a Senior Analyst and a Manager to build out a Tax Compliance division starting with a major project involving unclaimed property and eventually leading into more sales&use tax compliance among other compliance process and procedure implementations, and roll-outs.

Summary: Plan, direct, or coordinate activities of an organization to ensure compliance with ethical or regulatory standards.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities (Other duties may be assigned.)


  • Develop and implement compliance-related policies and procedures throughout the organization.
  • Verify that all company and regulatory policies and procedures have been documented, implemented, and communicated.
  • Conduct or direct the internal investigation of compliance issues.
  • Act as a key contact for regulatory audits.
  • Design or implement improvements in communication, monitoring, or enforcement of compliance standards.
  • Disseminate written policies and procedures related to compliance activities.
  • File appropriate compliance reports with regulatory agencies.
  • Identify compliance issues that require follow-up or investigation.
  • Keep informed regarding pending industry changes, trends, and best practices and assess the potential impact of these changes on organizational processes.
  • Research and troubleshoot issues as necessary in coordination with auditing process.
  • Submit all regulatory compliance reports related to unclaimed property.
  • Direct the development or implementation of compliance-related policies and procedures throughout an organization.
  • Verify that all firm and regulatory policies and procedures have been documented, implemented, and communicated.
  • Assess product, compliance, or operational risks and develop risk management strategies.
  • Conduct or direct the internal investigation of compliance issues.
  • Conduct periodic internal reviews or audits to ensure that compliance procedures are followed.
  • Design or implement improvements in communication, monitoring, or enforcement of compliance standards.
  • Disseminate written policies and procedures related to compliance activities.
  • File appropriate compliance reports with regulatory agencies.
  • Identify compliance issues that require follow-up or investigation.
  • Keep informed regarding pending industry changes, trends, and best practices and assess the potential impact of these changes on organizational processes.
  • Research and troubleshoot issues as necessary in coordination with auditing process.
  • Submit sample waivers and COLA waivers for label approvals to TTB for approvals to be imported into US once samples and COLAs are approved, prepare application for TABC approvals.
  • Audit all U.S. Customs tax and duty charges for imported products received and create and submit letters to brokers for customs revisions as relevant.
  • Maintain Cargo Declaration Report and updated files on all GSPs, NAFTAs and Blanket Certification for duty discounts and HTS data base.
  • Manual preparation of C-TPAT and ISA along with collaboration and support at scheduled meetings.
  • Review, support and participate in meetings to review scorecards and provide insight and feedback accordingly

Certificates, Licenses, Registrations: CPA preferred

Education and/or Experience: Bachelor's degree from a four year college or university or equivalent required; a minimum of three years related experience.
