Job Description

The Inside Sales Representative is responsible for increasing sales of our client's wide range of products and solutions. They work as part of a team to proactively seek and pursue opportunities to increase sales and profits by selling company products and solutions while providing exceptional customer service.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develops a thorough knowledge of products in the company catalog
  • Identifying and contacting prospects, the Inside Sales Representative enthusiastically promotes the company's range of products and seeks to convert as many sales opportunities as possible.
  • Managing an assigned sales pipeline, the Inside Sales Representative forges excellent working relationships with customers and provides them with accurate quotes, negotiating sales within company pricing guidelines
  • Utilizing and maintaining data in the company's CRM system, ensuring key customer information is up-to-date as well as fully capturing all key customer information and recording all customer interactions for future use

Required Basic Qualifications:

  • 2-3 years of technical sales experience selling building automation products in a B2B capacity is preferred
  • A degree would be beneficial, however, this is not essential
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office to include Outlook, Word, and Excel
  • Must have the ability to learn and utilize Customer Relationship Management software
  • Strong relationship-building and communication skills
  • Strong experience with utilizing email and a CRM system for sales and marketing including customer follow-up and communication
  • The proven ability to make a large amount of contact via phone and email, utilizing warm leads to grow existing business, as well as generate new business
  • Great negotiating, organization, and time management abilities
