Job Description

Our client in the Brea area is seeking an Interim Accounting Manager for an open ended contract role. The ideal consultant will have recent construction experience including handling WIP.

As an Accounting Supervisor, you will apply your general ledger, month-end close and supervisory expertise to the oversight and management of a team. You will also provide clients with a full range of financial services.

Your areas of responsibility in this role will generally include:

  • Managing month-end closing process
  • Reviewing and preparing journal entries and reconciliations
  • Reviewing and analyzing financial statements and variances
  • Implementing policies and procedures
  • Generate WIP reports
  • Ensure project set up and close out procedures are followed
  • Supervise a staff of 3
  • Assist with an upcoming audit
Requirements:
  • Bachelor's Degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field
  • CPA highly desired
  • 3+ years of recent construction or engineering accounting experience required
  • Advanced Excel knowledge
  • At least 1 year of supervisory experience
