Job Description

Primary Responsibilities

  • Oversight and management of the monthly/quarterly/annual close process through monitoring the close schedule and deliverables across all areas of ownership.
  • Manage quarterly and annual financial statement reporting; constantly drive improvements through automation. Plan, control and direct corporate accounting activities ensuring compliance with Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP), statutory guidelines and internal financial policies and procedures.
  • Partner with the Technical Accounting and Financial Reporting teams on the assessment of complex accounting transactions and the implementation of new accounting policies.
  • Provide year-end financial statements to external auditors, prepare the financial report, and coordinate production of audited annual financial report.
  • Prepare, manage and coordinate annual audit and tax compliance with outside auditors and consultants.
  • Manage all aspects of the month end close process including the preparation of the financial reporting package.
  • Monitors the company's financial budget and projections and coordinates appropriate corrective action.

Requirements

  • BA/BS in Accounting or Finance. CPA required (7+ years Big 4 experience desired).
  • Strong system skills required. Accounting system implementation experiences a plus.
  • Technical experience related to GAAP and reporting including SEC reporting and Sarbanes-Oxley requirements.
  • Experience in high transaction volume environment. Adept at manipulating, analyzing and auditing large volumes of data.
  • Experience in an accounting role with a multi-site global company handling reporting and reconciliations & associated accounting issues.
  • Two or more years managing teams of at least five or more staff, with various levels of experience.
