Job Description

The Intermodal Account Coordinator, specializing in Dispatch, supporting the Intermodal Operations department represents the core of our Company operations as they are responsible for coordinating daily freight load movements on a national scale, while maintaining customer satisfaction in an extremely high-pressure, time-sensitive manner.


  • Determine and secure the most profitable equipment type
  • Schedule pick up appointments per customers' requirements
  • Dispatch origin carrier
  • Communicate with carriers, customers, and railroads
  • Conduct pool Management, reconciliation, and reporting (Set up origin per diem for pool locations; Pool report reconciliations)
  • Car order and management, as needed
  • Ensure loads go into the railroad as scheduled
  • Obtain In-and-Out times from origin carriers
  • Process accessorials incurred at origin
  • Audit work orders
  • Release invoices
  • Run "No CLM" report
  • Back-Up for other dispatcher team members and/or team leader, as needed
