Job Description

Vaco Indianapolis has partnered with a company located in Indianapolis to fill a full time Inventory Specialist.

The Inventory Specialist is responsible for monitoring, analyzing, and reporting of all client inventory levels. The Inventory Specialist will be a problem solver, digging into inventory information, performing root cause analyses, and implementing policies and procedures. The Inventory Specialist will work in unison with the Forecasting team as well as cross-departmental personnel on a daily basis to ensure that proper marketing materials are delivered correctly and in a timely manner.

Resonsibilities include but not limited to:

  • Monitor, analyze, and report all inventory item levels
  • Set up and maintain items in inventory management systems
  • Coordinate with material production vendors to ensure timely and accurate delivery of materials
  • Receive and resolve client inquiries
  • Work with Warehouse personnel to research and provide answers to client requests
  • Resolve inventory issues

    • Able to work independently and prioritize multiple objectives
    • Able to audit and assess processes quickly
    • Accurately enter data and information into Excel and database management applications
    • Bachelor's degree required
    • Mathematical and/or analytical coursework or work experience
    • Proficient with Microsoft Office programs
