Job Description

The IT Administrator is responsible for serving as the internal help desk support for all end-users as well as maintaining all IT infrastructures, hardware and systems.

Key performance objectives in order of priority are:
1. Provides one-stop shop help desk support that creates an exceptional customer experience for end-users.
2. Proactively maintains and updates IT infrastructure and systems to support operational requirements and efficiencies.
3. Serves in an advisory capacity to provide necessary data and options to help make informed decisions on IT-related issues.

ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS: The responsibilities listed are fundamental to the position and must be performed successfully to achieve the key performance objectives of the role. Other responsibilities may be assigned.

Interpersonal Responsibilities
1. Serves as a one-stop help desk for all end users seeking technical assistance via phone, email or ticketing system. Performs troubleshooting through diagnostic techniques and pertinent questions to determine the best solution. Guides customers through the problem-solving process and tracks each issue to completion. May involve 3rd party support for assistance with resolution.
2. Serves as the point of contact for printer and copier support; verifies issue and coordinates with vendor for resolution as needed.

Operational Responsibilities
1. Proactively monitors for network performance issues, abnormalities, faults, equipment failure and maintenance needs and updates software systems for all end users.
2. Maintains software inventory logs, assignments and computers. Supports all software platforms on internal server including, but not limited to: FileMaker, Multiledger, MS Office and SOLIDWORKS.
3. Utilizes feedback and suggestions from customers to identify needed systems and process improvements. Proactively evaluates internet and hardware requirements and presents business case for selection.
4. Maintains upkeep of internal computers, servers, wireless network, firewall systems, infrastructure and hardware. May utilize 3rd party support for resolution of escalated issues.
5. Triages system failures, issues with hardware and orders parts for replacement when necessary. Troubleshoots connectivity issues with the internet service provider.
6. Manages cyber security. Identifies vulnerabilities and risks and ensures proper systems are in place to protect the company servers and computers. Constantly monitors for cyber-attacks or intrusions and addresses potential threats or breaches accordingly.
7. Troubleshoots errors with company website and updates as directed in a timely manner.
