Job Description

The Senior IT Auditor will develop and manage the complex compliance of the organization's financial and IT audits; establish objectives and procedures for audit review of computer systems; develop and implement testing and evaluation plans for IT systems and controls to meet industry standards of efficiency, accuracy and security; examine and evaluate the adequacy and effectiveness of information systems, identifying weaknesses and recommending enhancements; assessing compliance with regulatory requirements in relation to IT, accounting , auditing standards and company policy; and supervise IT audit staff.

Responsibilities:
  • Interrogate system controls and exhibits an understanding of the technical infrastructure
  • Develop core knowledge in operating systems, networks, or complex financial services application processing environments
  • Develop and apply effective project leadership skills regarding engagement notification, task assignment and monitoring, interim performance evaluation and coaching, project pacing and control
  • Train and mentor junior staff regarding required knowledge and skills
  • Lead projects that are generally small to moderate in size and complexity
  • Handle multiple assignments but generally lead one project at a time
  • Demonstrate professional skepticism
  • Present audit results in an objective and unbiased manner
  • Write opinions reflecting relevant facts that lead to logical conclusions
  • Escalate significant risks and loss exposures to appropriate levels of management

Desired Skills/Experience:
  • The Auditor (Big 4 equivalent - Associate/Experienced Associate level) should have knowledge of key business processes, key controls and risks in the processes, and the implication to relevant IT dependencies in each process. Preference for experience working with various technology platforms. A degree in Computer Information Systems along with Accounting or Finance is highly desired. A professional certification such as Certified Information Systems Auditor (CISA), Certified Public Accountant (CPA) or Certified Internal Auditor (CIA) is preferred.
  • Proven ability execute engagements along with ensuring deliverables meet work plan specifications and deadlines
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks and responsibilities, work alone or in small teams, achieve established goals and objectives, and communicate progress in a timely and meaningful manner.
  • Big Four experience is a Plus
  • Bachelor's degree required.
