Travel: Some occasional day travel within 1½ hours of Dallas, TX will be required (1x a week, or potentially less).

JOB SUMMARY

Vaco Technology is currently seeking a IT Business Analyst w/ Financial & Account Experience for a 6M C2H opportunity located in Dallas, TX. The IT Business Analyst will serve as a liaison between IT and Finance and must collaborate with Stakeholders effectively. The IT Business Analyst will lead the development and documentation of requirements and identify, document, and analyze current and future operational business processes for streamlining and improvements. IT Business Analyst will support SMEs in identifying areas for improvement in cycle time, satisfaction, and cost savings. The IT Business Analyst will also be responsible for the development of use cases, user stories / requirements traceability, gap analysis, test case development, and documentation.

  • Lead Business Analysis / Requirements Definition - User Story Development / Project Scoping / IT Projects, etc.
  • Lead the Implementation of Complex Process Changes
  • Elicit / Capture / Validate / Analyze Business Processes and Requirements - Identify Areas to Streamline
  • Map End-to-End Views of Legacy Business Processes
  • Design End-to-End Business Processes Based on Confirmed Understanding of Process Drivers / Metrics
  • Create Documentation - Use & Test Cases / User Stories / Usage Scenarios / Process Flows / Data Dictionaries / Requirements Traceability Metrics / Design Documents / Project Schedules
  • Analyze Operational Data / Provide Processes for Identifying Systems / Ops Issues / Solutions
  • Participate in Project SCRUM / Status Meetings - Act as PM / SCRUM Master, as needed
  • Translate End-User Requirements into Functional Requirements for the Software Development Team
  • Participate in Cross-Functional Teams in Enterprise IT Systems Improvement Projects

TECHNICAL REQUIREMENTS

  • IT Business Analysis w/ Financial Systems Experience (2+ years)
  • Accounting / Finance Modules (Understanding) - AP / AR / GL / Asset Management / eProcurement, etc.
  • Understanding Sales / Operations / Finance to Streamline Processes
  • Analyze / Document Requirements / Business Processes
  • Software QA Best Practices / Methodologies (understanding)
  • Lead / Conduct Business Process / Requirements Definition / Analysis - User Story Development / Gap Analysis / Process Optimization / Process Risk Assessment / Test Cases Scenarios / Validate Process Performance
  • SCRUM / Agile Methodology (understanding) - Experience Leading SCRUM Project Teams (STRONGLY preferred)
  • SDLC Best Practices for Refining Requirements in Each Phase (understanding)

PREFERRED (not required)

  • Agile Sprints - Delivering Software in Short Sprints of 2-4 Weeks (STRONGLY preferred)
  • Leading SCRUM Project Teams Experience
  • ERP - Enterprise Resource Planning (knowledge)
  • AWS - Amazon WebServices Environment (knowledge)
