General Description:

Responsible for guiding the design, implementation, maintenance, monitoring, and security of the company's information technology platforms, including internal and external networks and voice and data networks. Ensures high availability and optimal performance of all data and voice networks. Establishes and maintains a disaster recovery plan. Offers support to other departments, as needed. Identifies and leads contract negotiation and management of all suppliers/vendors/employees providing all related services. Relies on extensive knowledge and professional discretion to achieve goals. Significant ingenuity and flexibility is expected.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Ensure high availability and operating efficiency of all data and voice networks at optimal cost / benefit.
  • Responsible for overseeing Microsoft Active Directory and related Microsoft services.
  • Manage VMware virtualization environment.
  • Oversee and assure help desk service support provides for maximum user efficiency.
  • Ensure information security. Make certain the company is ready for Cyber Security Maturity Model (CMMC) certification.
  • Establish, implement and monitor effectiveness of disaster recovery plan.
  • Assess, recommend, and manage and monitor suppliers/vendors/employees to achieve the above responsibilities with optimal returns on investment.
  • Work cooperatively with the senior leadership to ensure information technology platform is optimized for the effective use of all enterprise systems.

Requirements:


Education and Experience:

  • College degree in business or related discipline.
  • At least 7 years progressive information technology/networking experience.
  • Track record of strong inclination towards and experience with the development, maintenance and monitoring of enterprise wide information technology platforms.

Job Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:

  • Relevant IT certifications preferred
  • Excellent written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills
  • Must have high integrity to deal with confidential information
  • High attention to detail
  • Ability to prioritize and be proactive
  • Strong problem solving abilities
  • Able to collaborate effectively by phone and email with others within the organization.
  • Able to travel to other company facilities (<15 % annually, depending on need)

Supervisory Responsibilities:

  • Suppliers/Vendors/Employees providing services required

Training Requirements:

  • Desire to continuously learn and apply learning to job and company success
  • Willing to attend required training courses or sessions related to the job

Physical Demands:

  • Must be able to perform routine, repetitive office functions
  • Pass a pre-employment drug test and physical and subject to random drug screening

Work Environment:

  • Regular exposure to dust and noise in the production environment
  • Warehouse environment temperatures may be influenced by outside temperatures
