Job Description

Project Management

  • Participates in planning & prioritization of all IT Infrastructure related projects.
  • Manages all IT Infrastructure department projects in accordance with UPC PMO standards and methodologies; utilizes best practices
  • of industry standard project management methodologies, such as PMBOK and Agile.
  • Provides project & initiative reporting to Director IT Infrastructure as well as relevant info to PMO.
  • Ensures that all projects and initiatives are delivered with the highest quality, on time, and within budget.

Technical

  • Manages day to day operations and staffing of the Helpdesk
  • Manages UPC's Disaster Recovery strategy, and ensures regular resiliency testing of all critical systems.
  • Strong Network and Systems engineering generalist background; Able to provide coverage for engineering roles during absence.

Compliance

  • Maintains ongoing Compliance documentation; ensures IT Infrastructure adherence to SOX and other regulatory requirements.
  • Manages software licensing inventory and compliance

Staff

  • Provides statistical analysis of major systems & process effectiveness.
  • Defines & implements department service delivery processes.

Support Communications

  • Manages Helpdesk Problem / Major Incident communications, documentation, and application of lessons learned to department process documentation.
  • Serves as escalation point for Helpdesk tickets which require longer term solutions through multi-phase solutions.

Mentors and participates in training of less experienced staff members
