Job Description

The Project Sourcing Specialist works closely with GIO Service line directors and their teams to ensure negotiation of projects linked to the transformation of the Infrastructure as well as IT teams managing applications. Ensures that that all sourcing projects are in line with the relevant category strategy (Software, Telecom, End User Services, Outsourcing)

Solid understanding of the IT Supplier markets complexities and has an overall and pertinent vision of purchasing needs and practices. Ability to foresee probable changes in the market and acts accordingly. Manages the IT Key Vendors and ensures performance reviews with the support of the category manager.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

Support Sourcing Projects
Initiates sourcing projects using the sourcing projects methodology (Procurement Toolbox) i.e. based on a cross-functional core team approach: Assesses the situation and writes a business case.

  • Sets up a cross functional core team and gathers the specifications (functional, technical) Provides support to the RFP package and lead the RFP process. Coordinates the supplier qualification in compliance with GP03 when relevant.

  • Organize and leads the negotiations with suppliers according to objectives. Builds and communicated the procurement decision: ordering and invoicing processes, supplier selection, lead the negotiation process.

  • Identifies potential opportunities for Quick Wins negotiations. Monitors and measures the implementation of contracts/changes and participates in local governance if appropriate.

  • Monitors savings and overall performance of the sourcing projects. Ensures measures, demonstrates and reports savings generated by the sourcing projects and the negotiations.

  • Maturity in Project Management Methodology (PMO, Procurement Toolbox)
  • Financial Knowledge (build and communication strong business case)
  • Negotiations techniques - Ability to build and select the best compromise
