IT Security Analyst

Position Purpose

Provides high-level expertise in shaping security standards and architecture for the enterprise, to include business area technical leadership and technical leadership stakeholders in Information Technology (including Operational Technology and Internet of Things) for business operations and support functions. Provides guidance on IT Security architecture necessary for regulatory compliance and in support of enhanced business capabilities. Collaborates with other IT and OT groups in the development of Technology Roadmaps and in the introduction of new technology.

Required Education & Experience

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent combination of education and experience required. CISSP or similar security certifications required. Minimum ten years of technical experience in a dynamic business and IT environment, to include at least five years of cyber security experience.
  • Expert knowledge of information security standards, principles and practices required. Must understand and be knowledgeable regarding emerging security trends and marketplace solutions. Must be proficient in architecture formulation, including requirements discovery and analysis, application of abstraction, formulation of solution context, solution alternatives identification and assessment, technology selection, and architectural configuration.
  • This position requires ongoing security education to be successful and the Company provides annual training funding for employee development that may include technical educational, security forums, and security certifications.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Three years of technical architecture experience preferred.
  • Technical security certifications highly preferred.
  • Operational Technology security expertise preferred. Business certifications related to auditing, compliance, and risk a plus.
  • Analytics in a big data environment a plus.

Ability to engage and influence technical experts, as well as senior business executives. Excellent written and oral communication skills with the ability to share technical knowledge in layman's terms. Strong analytical, documentation, decision making and interpersonal skills. Ability to work well with ambiguity. Strong organization and resource management skills.

Job Description

  • Top level technical contributor with superior expertise in IT Security and regulatory compliance. Guides and influences critical security architectural priorities.
  • Collaborates with the Enterprise Security Team, IT Enterprise Architect-Infrastructure, IT Application Development Architects, Operational Technology Architects (SCADA) to develop an agreed architecture that best suits LKE Business Strategies and Risks, as well as specific business unit strategies and risks. Formulates architectural approaches that enable business objectives and mitigate risks.
  • Performs new technology assessments for software/hardware or external data vendors to ensure they fit within the organizations IT Security framework.
  • Reviews applicable regulations; designs and provides guidance on deployment of the security architecture and processes necessary to achieve and maintain compliance.
  • Identifies new technology which can enhance security. Investigates emerging security technologies - selects and recommends those that hold promise. Informs and educates IT and the business regarding potential benefits and applications.
  • Maintains expert knowledge of Security technology, spanning IT, OT, and physical domains, including vendor products, infrastructure, application architectures and development methodologies.
  • Establishes and leads an integrated Security Technology roadmap for projects and multi-year technology investments. Ensures alignment with corporate IT standards, architecture planning, and best practices for IT Security. Ensures recommendations delivered are cost effective, reliable, accurate and consistent with the overall corporate strategy.
  • Assists in drafting and enforcing IT Security standards, policies, and processes.
  • Work with IT Security leadership to develop strategies and plans to enforce security requirements and address identified risks.
