Position Type: Direct-Hire

Hourly / Salary: BOE

On-Call: Afterhours / Weekend On-Call Rotating Schedule (rarely needed for afterhours / weekend support, but does happen on occasion)

Perks: 2½-weeks PTO / 6 Additional Floating Holidays / Catered Lunches on Friday's

JOB SUMMARY

Vaco Technology is currently seeking an IT Support Administrator for a Direct-Hire opportunity located in Dallas, TX (near Dallas Love Field Airport). The IT Support Administrator will maintain the system infrastructure and networks, test equipment, backup databases, install / update Malware and AV software, and install / rebuild existing servers and process. The IT Support Administrator will troubleshoot, diagnose, and resolve issues quickly, efficiently, and effectively for both national and international internal end-users. The IT Support Administrator will direct and coordinate LAN activities.

  • Image New Computers / Stage New Incoming Computers to be Rolled-Out to the Community
  • Provide Desktop Support on a Variety of Network-Related Issues
  • Utilize Software / Diagnostic Tools to Perform Customer Assistance / Production Job Processing / Equipment Maintenance and Repair, etc.
  • Respond to Calls / Emails Regarding Hardware / Software Issues
  • Identify / Research / Resolve Technical Issues
  • Support / Monitor / Test / Troubleshoot Hardware / Software Issues Pertaining to LAN
  • Install / Configure / Troubleshoot Active Directory - Users / Groups / Office Applications, etc.
  • Set-up / Maintain User Accounts
  • Perform Preventative Maintenance Tasks / Assignments
  • Manage File / Print / License Servers, etc.
  • Administer Daily Backups
  • Apply Security Patches / Updates in a Timely Manner
  • Document / Maintain IT-Related Procedures
  • Maintain Inventory / Licensing Records for Hardware / Software Acquisitions
  • Communicate / Coordinate Network Maintenance Schedules / Backups / Downtime with End-Users
  • Document / Implement Policies / Procedures Related to Systems Hardware / Software Acquisition / Use / Security / Backups, etc.
  • Establish / Maintain Network Users / User Environments / Directories / Security
  • Monitor Systems Daily / Respond Quickly to Security Breaches / Usability Concerns / Regularly Upgrade Systems
  • Integrate New Applications / Technologies into the Current Systems - Train End-Users on Software / Equipment
  • Develop / Communicate Standards for Use / Operations / Network Security / Personal Computers / Data, etc.
  • Develop / Implement Disaster Recovery Procedures
  • Manage / Interface with Third Party Vendors

JOB REQUIREMENTS

  • Systems Administration (2+ years)
  • Windows / MAC (Apple) OS / Software Support (strong understanding)
  • Windows Desktop OS Support (advanced)
  • MS Office Suite Support - Outlook / Word / Excel / PowerPoint, etc. (advanced)
  • Active Directory Support - Users / Group Policies (basic understanding)
  • VMware Support (in-depth knowledge)
  • Office 365 Support / Administration (in-depth knowledge)
  • Impeccable / High-Quality Customer Service Skills
