Vaco is looking for a highly talented Junior Software Professional! The DevOps System Engineer will be responsible for building, managing and maintaining the Enterprise Build Framework, Environment Configuration and Release Cycle Management as well as managing and maintaining all development and production test environments and systems.

II. ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Engage development teams in their work on databases, back-end software development, front-end applications, and other mission-critical systems for each release lifecycle
  • Day to day support and monitoring of Windows based test environments
  • Collaborate effectively with development, testing and system administration teams
  • Work with the development team to prepare release scripts and instructions
  • Accountability in the management of multi-issue workloads, regularly communicating with supervisor on software development progress.
  • Progressively handle assignments with increasing complexity and scope.


III. EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science; and
  • Preferred 1 year of software development experience, or
  • Equivalent combination of education and experience.


IV. ADDITIONAL QUALIFICATIONS:

  • The successful candidate will be a highly motivated, self-starter.
  • The successful candidate must be comfortable working in a fluid, fast paced team-oriented environment.
  • The successful candidate should have experience working in Agile environment
  • Experience with software versioning; Git experience strongly preferred
  • Powershell experience strongly preferred
  • Experience with Continuous Integration, MS Team Foundation Services (TFS) preferred
  • The candidate should be familiar with configuration Files and Configuration File Transforms
  • The candidate should be familiar with Microsoft Windows Server (Current).
  • The candidate should be Internet Information Server (IIS)
  • Strong programming or scripting background, especially C#, Angular, Java and/or PHP
  • Experience working with Transact SQL and Microsoft SQL Server.
