Job Description

The Lead Accounting Specialist will be responsible for the thorough review and analysis of invoices and expense processing for our client. Please apply here or send any and all inquiries directly to bclark @ vaco .com

Daily responsibilities include receiving, reviewing, and analyzing invoices and payment production; scanning, filing, and keying; and, answering questions, audits, and special projects. Other areas of responsibility include auditing and review and processing of flight pay loss accruals and payments; initiating receipt of and maintaining current contract information on contractual vendors; follow-up on problem items to resolve issues; completion of monthly reconciliations; and, fielding questions and providing training assistance on systems used.

  • Responsible for answering team members' day to day questions
  • Monitor and research open payables
  • Prepare and generate the appropriate reports for internal and external individuals
  • Maintain updated process documents
  • Ability to manage large data elements
  • Ability to navigate and multi-task between various systems and processes to more efficiently reconcile transactions
  • Responsible for reviewing and tracking defects, processing errors, and providing guidance to team members on proper procedure

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:

  • 2-3 years of experience in a detail oriented work environment preferably either reconciliation in AP or AR
  • 3 years of experience in managing multiple priorities
  • Possess strong PC skills manipulating large amount of data - Intermediate Excel skill is required.
  • Ability to handle multiple tasks efficiently and in a timely manner.
  • Exhibits enthusiasm and cooperation as an active member of a team environment.
  • At least 2 year of customer service experience.
