Job Description

We are looking for a Lead DevOps Engineer to join our team. We are a publicly traded company who has been around for close to 40 years. As we continue through our Digital Transformation Initiative, we are in need of a Lead DevOps Engineer to help us with our selection, implementation and integration of DevOps technologies including those related to cloud computing and containers. You will be the point person for automating builds and deployment of software, maintenance and enhancement of a source control system, and will play an integral part in the design and implementation of the continuous integration and the deployment process. The right candidate will have 5+ years of the following experience:

  • Selecting, deploying, and integrating Agile and DevOps technologies and processes
  • Implementing container technologies such as Docker and Kubernetes
  • Application build systems that securely integrate with cloud compute solutions
  • Selecting, deploying, and integrating Cloud technologies
  • Security practices throughout all stages of DevOps, CI/CD, and cloud implementation
  • Building Continuous Integration / Continuous Deployment pipelines
  • Source control tools such as SVN / GitHub / Artifactory Pro
  • Designing, developing, and maintaining automated build and deployment scripts using programming languages (Python, Ruby, or similar)
  • Integration tools like Jenkins
  • DevOps Build solutions using relevant tools such as Ansible, Chef, Puppet
  • Deployment and Release management tools
  • Configuration management, maintenance of log aggregator such as Graylog, Splunk. Installation experience is a plus.
  • Using native build practices for iOS and Android, including app store submission requirements is a plus
  • Working knowledge with Linux is a plus
  • Java web and mobile hybrid application build and deployment in WebSphere is a huge plus
