A Vaco Technology client has an immediate need for a Lead Systems Administrator with AWS experience to join their team full time. This role will be responsible for managing the technology infrastructure environment. The right individual will be capable of managing computer, network, phone system, call center, security, and facilities as related to technology. This individual will support administration in Cloud and LAN/WAN environment, perform a variety of maintenance, support, installation, and troubleshooting tasks to enable local and remote users to maximize productivity. The individual will assist in planning and development of network resources, documentation of procedures and all IT infrastructure. This position is responsible for researching, planning, building, deploying and improving solutions within the overall call center ecosystem including phone & messaging platforms, IVR, call routing, location(s) to support our business operations.

What You'll Do

  • Execute projects to create a secure network; this would include locations in Houston (primary), and Boston (secondary)
  • Help oversee the security (technology & physical building in Houston and Boston), integrity, disaster recovery and business continuity plans and requirements
  • Help roll out systems and upgrades; patch management, desktop security.
  • Familiarity with Scripting, SSO and similar technologies
  • Perform troubleshooting; technical support; and maintenance of third party commercial client-server applications; Full Microsoft Suite applications (ex. SQL.SVR, .NET); Avaya telephone systems; and all other related information and office automation systems.
  • Administer Palo Alto firewalls, Aruba equipment
  • Install, configure, maintain, and troubleshoot desktop computers, WAN/LAN equipment, local printers, scanners, copiers, and other peripherals as needed.
  • Resolves elevated Help Desk incidents, change management requests, or problem tickets as assigned.
  • Build trust and manage key stakeholder relationships within the company through collaborative, proactive, upward communication practices.
  • Represent the company in a variety of external partnership programs and build the brand across customers and external partners to service technology needs
What We Look For
  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Mathematics, or related field and
  • 6+ years progressive experience as a IT Infrastructure Systems Specialist and/or Lead. Capacity needs to be small/medium sized organization with a structured IT department
  • Must have AWS experience
Preferred Skill Requirements
  • Amazon certification, experiences in configuring and managing Cloud Hosted business solutions, including Salesforce.com, Google Suite, Office 365, etc.
  • Any Microsoft certification
