Our client is one of the fastest-growing direct response marketing firms in the United States and is searching for a driven, detail-oriented Finance Manager to join our team.

The Manager of Financial Operation's Mission is to protect the cash and assets. You will be responsible for ensuring that processes are put into place to keep the Company's cash flows, in and out, protected and guarded against external risk factors.

This role requires someone who values accuracy and getting things right the first time since the Company relies on data to make decisions. This role also requires an excellent communicator since the sharing of information is essential to ensure truth in financial reporting. In addition, this role requires a self-starting, problem solver who takes pride in and ownership of their work.

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Lead / manage the finance team, providing coaching and motivation to achieve goals and develop team members (Fraud &Risk Analyst, Staff Accountant, etc).
  • Develop a Financial Tracking Practice
  • Manage the outside banking relationships
  • Monitor and Manage the day-to-day financial operations within the Company (Accounts Payable, Payroll, Invoicing and other transactions)
  • Work with the Director to develop and implement strategies to limit the probability of financial loss
  • Build and optimize a scalable Accounts Payable and Payroll practice.
  • Manage the Fraud and Risk reporting and analysis process within the Company. Working closely with the Director and the Analyst(s) to develop scalable practices to protect the Company against fraud and limit exposure to risk - specifically in an eCommerce environment.
  • Manage the relationship with insurance company to ensure that the Company is adequately insured and protected against risks.
  • Ensure the company is in compliance with their sales tax collection/remittance processes and procedures
  • Create and maintain Standard Operating Procedures for the Finance Department of the Company
  • Provide support to VP of Finance and Director of Finance & Accounting, as requested.


  • Bachelor's Degree - preferably in Accounting or Finance
  • CPA or imminent certification, preferred
  • Public Accounting experience
  • Minimum of 6-8 years' experience, preferred
  • Exposure to manufacturing, distribution or healthcare industries, preferred
  • General exposure to common risks and potential fraud methods in an online retail environment
  • Proven knowledge of accounting principles, practices, standards, laws and regulations
  • Thorough understanding of General Leger and Reporting Systems
  • Advanced computer skills on MS Office, accounting software and databases
  • Effective verbal and written communication skills
  • Excellent analytical skills and the ability to manipulate large amounts of data
  • High attention to detail and accuracy
  • Ability to collaborate and communicate within a multi-department environment
  • Ability / desire to lead and supervise a team
