Job Description

Our client is looking for a Manager of FPA. The company is a manufacturing company and is publicly traded. Ideally, they prefer candidates that are from that background. The position is extremely hands-on in nature and managing a small team of 2-3. The position will have super growth potential.

Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Develop, implement and maintain an effective planning and analysis capability that will provide senior leadership with appropriate analytical tools to establish goals and measure company performance.
  • Communicate business unit and company consolidated financial and operational performance trends, historical and forecasted, using appropriate metrics. Monitor trends, resulting implications, KPI's, and strategic implications. Coordinate the capital spending review process for the company.
  • Financial modeling efforts for the development and growth of the portfolio. Influence the accuracy and effectiveness of the corporate accounting consolidation and closing process and treasury operations through analytical review and trend analysis.
  • Analytical reviews of company financial and operational performance, leveraging business unit analytical resources and tools
  • Lead the strategic aspects of the annual operating plan and budget process for the company
  • Prepare presentations in support of board and shareholder meetings, monthly/quarterly senior leadership meetings and various strategic committees of the company.
  • Model potential changes to capital structure, acquisition and divestiture planning, shareholder returns.
  • Partner with accounting, treasury, tax as appropriate

Qualifications and Experience:

  • 10 years of finance and accounting experience with progressive
  • CPA or inactive CPA - Big 4 experience, and/or MBA highly-preferred
  • Significant experience managing people, with strong, professional communication and writing skills
  • Strong Excel and PowerPoint skills
  • Knowledge of US GAAP and technical pronouncements
