Job Description

Our client is seeking a Marketing Strategist to serve as integral partner to the marketing group. They will the implementation of marketing strategy and development of internal and external collateral, including print materials and digital assets, video productions and interactive media elements to support fundraising programs managed by the departments

Position Functions

  • Works with a high degree of autonomy to manage the conception and design of all creative projects for programs in assigned areas
  • Negotiates with key individuals in departments to develop strategic approach to new and existing programs and to evaluate needed creative materials for print and Web
  • Coordinates with the Graphic Design, Public Relations, Video Production and media teams to develop materials and ensure delivery by agreed upon deadline
  • Uses a high degree of autonomy to work out logistics of event related marketing needs with the Event team members assigned to jobs to ensure proper scheduling and logistics
  • For external crews, manages all pre- and post-event requirements including scheduling briefing meetings or calls prior to the event
  • Leads all marketing communication efforts for partner departments or as assigned by Manager based on needs
  • Recommends creative strategies in support of marketing strategies and partner goals
  • Works effectively and professionally in a team environment, negotiates priorities and timeliness diplomatically, and maintains composure and production quality under deadline pressure
  • Recommends, initiates work and follows through on projects with minimal direction and/or in ambiguous situations
  • Serves as communications counsel to marketing partners on an as needed basis or as assigned by Marketing management
  • Works with Marketing management to analyze marketing communications efforts and to assist with evaluation of return on investment (ROI)
  • Provides clear guidance to creative teams within the Marketing department in support of partners creative marketing needs

Job Requirement

  • Requires thorough knowledge of marketing/advertising and/or communications
  • ability to speak and write in a clear and understandable manner
  • ability to understand complex verbal or written instructions; excellent typing skills, excellent organizational and project management skills
  • thorough knowledge of Microsoft Office programs; photographic knowledge including how to recognize a powerful photo
  • knowledge ordinarily acquired through a Bachelor's degree in Marketing/Advertising or related Communications field with at least 2 - 4 years of relevant experience
  • Must possess a valid driver's license
