Job Description

Vaco Dallas, LLC is currently seeking candidates who are data-driven leaders for a Master Data Manager, for a local Dallas based client that dominates the market in their domain. Candidates must be able to pass a 7-year federal and county criminal background check and drug screen. Applicants must be legally eligible to work in the US, as our client is unable to sponsor at this time.

Location: Dallas, TX

Compensation: Based on experience

Employment Type: Direct Hire

Summary:

Our client dominates the market within their industry domain and has an immediate need for a Master Data Manager to join their corporate office. The successful candidate will help them collect, analyze and apply data to their daily operations, both to increase client satisfaction and retention, as well as, to improve their revenue potential. They're looking for an analytical professional who thrives on the opportunity to review and compound data, and need someone who can provide recommendations based on his or her evaluation of the data collected. Your ability to operate data collection and analytical software combined with your head for numbers will help you succeed in this position.

Responsibilities & Duties:

  • Manage all incoming data files on clients
  • Review data for inconsistencies or anomalies that could skew analytical results
  • Maintain databases and conduct routine maintenance as needed to ensure data integrity
  • Streamline data collection and analysis procedures to ensure fast access to metrics
  • Communicate with clients about data changes or requirements
  • Generate and review documentation for all database changes or refinements
  • Make recommendations for software, hardware and data storage upgrades
  • Oversee and manage operating budgets, as well as managing review, approval and processing of invoices, contracts and agreements
  • Hire, coach and develop the staff within the department and delegate assignments to staff and departments

Summary of Requirements:

  • Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering or related field required
  • 7+ years' experience in data management or analysis
  • Prior experience with enterprise master data
  • Prior experience setting up and/or managing a master data governance program
  • Experience working within distribution, manufacturing and logistics domains
  • Experience with SAP Business Information Warehouse (BW) and or other related business intelligence products are a plus, not required
  • Ability to work with large data sets will help you in this position
  • Excellent organizational skills
  • Ability to extrapolate conclusions from large data sets
